Meet Negão! From Abandoned Dog To Employee Of The Month.

Pumping gas is boring, but many customers of a gas station in the city of Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil, look forward to it.

That’s because Negão works there. Abandoned as a puppy in the middle of a busy street, his chances of survival were very slim, until construction of a new gas station broke ground where he would curl up at night.

Construction workers started showing up and soon enough, all of them were friends with the sweet pup, bringing him food and toys to play with, but when construction was done, his friends left him behind.

When the owner of the brand new gas station, Sabrina Plannerer, saw him, she immediately fell in love with the black beauty. He was not a puppy anymore and enjoyed being around other people, like a social butterfly.

Sabrina decided to adopt him and make the gas station his home. He was brought to the vet, where he received a full check up, vaccines and was neutered. She gave him a nice and comfy bed inside the convenience store and soon enough he was ”hired” as the gas station ambassador, meeting and greeting every customer!

He was given an employee badge with his name on it, so people know that he ”works” there. In the winter months, he wears a red sweater to match the gas station colors.

Negão is a very pampered dog who enjoys his daily morning walks with his favorite fellow employee, snacks and grooming sessions twice a month, besides all the love he can get from his people and customers alike.

This sweet dog’s story could’ve been a very different one, if someone hadn’t stepped up and rescued him.

On her Instagram account, Sabrina said: ”He’s certainly our best employee and is treated with all the love he deserves. He’s our superstar and serves as an example to be followed by many shop owners. Do to others what you would have them do to you.”
