If you’re anything like me or most of the people I know, you have no clue of what to do with a fitted sheet other than how to make your bed with it. It’s one of those things we never care to learn how to properly fold it, since it’s just easier to roll it into a ball and throw it in the linen closet, without much consideration.
We can’t all be Martha Stewart, so who cares, right? Why spend time with something so tricky and frustrating when you clearly have better things to do?
The problem with rolled up sheets is that it takes much more space in the closet compared to when is folded and wouldn’t it be nice to have them neatly folded and finally be able to make a bed using sheets that are not all wrinkly, like you’re still living in a dorm?
This tutorial is super easy and will teach you how to fold those sheets in no time, like a pro.
Here’s How You Do It:
Step 1
Take the short end of the fitted sheet and place it on a flat surface in front of you.
Step 2
Grab the bottom corners and turn them inside out. Tuck them inside your top corners.
Step 3
Shake it out with your hands still inside the corners to ensure a neat fold.
Step 4
Put the sheet back on the flat surface with the elastic facing in. Create a square like shape.
Step 5
Take the top and fold it about one third of the day and smooth it out. Bring the bottom part to the top, smoothing it out as you go.
Step 6
Bring the outside edges to meet in the center. Fold it in half one more time.
There you have a perfectly folded fitted sheet!
