Dogs and mailmen have a love-hate relationship. For some unknown reason, dogs feel the need to protect their families and attack the stranger who dares to enter their territory to drop the mail, or a package at their homes, which they must protect at all cost.
Fortunately, this is not the case of Pippa. She absolutely loves to receive mail in her home, and the mailman!
Pippa, a sweet Golden Retriever, lives in Brisbane, Australia and everyday looks forward to seeing her mailman, Martin Studer. The problem is that when there’s no correspondence for Pippa’s family, Martin has to see his friend’s disappointment as he goes by.
To not leave Pippa sad and empty-handed on days there’s no mail to be delivered to her residence, the caring mailman makes sure he writes and delivers one especially addressed for Pippa, just to see her happy!
Since his post on Facebook went Viral, Pippa has received mail and letters from all over the world, which Martin was happy to deliver and see her excitement.
In an interview with BuzzFeed, Martin says “It’s good to break down that ‘postie vs. Dog’ stereotype.”
Martin clearly is the neighborhood’s favorite mailman, since he posts on his page a lot of pictures of other lovely dogs picking up the mail, but Pippa seems to be his special one.
