Every parent we know has a hard time letting go of any piece of ”art” their kiddo comes up with, even if it’s a complete miss! In our eyes, they are our little Van Gogh’s, and for the kids, throwing out such masterpieces is seeing as an unpardonable sin.
So why not turn them into a delicate part of the kid’s room decor?
Jen, a crafty mom from Canada, found a solution to preserve her daughter’s painted handprints in a beautiful way, and in turn, created a nice tradition for the two of them.
Each year before Gracien’s birthday, she dipped her tiny hands in paint and imprinted them on a small canvas panel. She then hung them on the wall of Gracien’s bedroom. Every year, as expected, one handprint was larger than the other, making a beautiful cascading effect when displayed vertically.
The best part of this little project is that Jen gets to keep it and display it to treasure forever!
This is an easy and affordable project and if you are looking into adding a cute and personal touch to your kid’s room, take a look at it.
